Annual investor conference with 300 high-net-worth attendees. Strict privacy requirements met end-to-end, with facial data used only to match each attendee to their own photos from the event.
The bank's annual investor conference brings together 300 high-net-worth individuals, institutional investors and board members for a day of presentations, panel discussions and networking. The bank's corporate communications team wanted to provide professional event photos to every attendee as a relationship-building touchpoint, but faced stringent regulatory constraints around handling personal data.
As a regulated financial institution operating under both Indian data protection laws and international GDPR standards (due to the presence of European institutional investors), the bank could not use any photo delivery platform that stored biometric data insecurely, retained facial data beyond the event window, or could not clearly account for how that data was handled and deleted.
Previous attempts to distribute event photos through email galleries had been vetoed by the compliance team due to concerns about facial data being stored indefinitely on third-party platforms. The communications team needed a solution that could satisfy both the investor experience expectations and the compliance department's requirements.
Eventiere configured a privacy-first deployment for the conference. Each attendee's face is used only to match them to their own photos from the event, and for nothing else.
Attendees registered through a secure, bank-branded page with clear consent language explaining what data would be collected and how it would be used. Opt-out was available at every stage and attendees who preferred not to use facial recognition could still browse the full event gallery manually.
Three photographers covered the conference across the main auditorium, breakout rooms and networking dinner. Photos were processed and matched in real time, with each attendee's personal gallery delivered by email.
Of the 300 attendees, 287 opted into the facial recognition photo matching - a 96% opt-in rate that reflected the trust built through the transparent consent process. Match accuracy across all processed photos reached 99%, with only three attendees requiring any manual correction to their galleries.
Investor feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with several attendees specifically mentioning the photo delivery experience in their post-event survey responses. The communications team reported that the personalised photo galleries served as an effective engagement tool, with 78% of attendees downloading at least one photo. The bank has since scheduled Eventiere for three additional investor and board events throughout the year.
